2 Naga arm wrestlers to participate at World Armwrestling Champion in Malaysia | MorungExpress

Two Naga arm wrestlers Vethozo Lohe and Avilie Zuyie will be taking part in the forthcoming 2023 International Federation of Armwrestling (IFA) World Armwrestling Champion in Malaysia.

The Championship will be held at Kuala Lumpur from September 25 to October 1, 2023.

They will be representing India under the aegis of Board of Control for Armwrestling in India (BCAI) at the Championship.
The duo will be leaving Nagaland for Malaysia on September 19.

Lohe from Khutsokhuno village in Tizu area of Phek district, is currently pursuing BA (Ist semester, English Department) at Phek Government College, Phek.

19 year old Lohe is son of Razouvezo Lohe.

Mentionably, Lohe was Gold medalist in Armwrestling event at the Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) meet 2021, held at Thenyizu village.

He won gold medal in right hand at 6th edition of Nagaland Street Fitness 2021 in Kohima.

He bagged Gold Medal in left/right hand in the 7th and 8th edition of Nagaland Street Fitness.

In 2nd BCAI National Arm wrestling held at Goa in 2022, he won Gold in both left and right in Junior (Under 18) category and also bagged Champion Trophy.

In Youth – Under 21, he bagged gold in right hand and silver in left hand.

In Senior- Above 21, Lohe bagged Gold in left hand.

In Open Jorhat Arm Wrestling 2022, he won Gold in right hand in 80 kg category.

In 3rd BCAI  National  Armwrestling Championship held in Bangalore, Karnataka in 2023, Lohe won gold in both Right and Left Hand (Youth) in 78 kg category and also won another two gold in Senior Left/Right hand under 78 kg category.
