JPKN is responsible for developing application systems for State Government agencies and it is expected that a total of 30 application systems with End-To-End characteristics will be developed.
“We will ensure that government machinery continues to work in ‘Available at Anytime, Anywhere with Any Mobile Device’ environment, including the installation of Wi-Fi facilities in all government premises with cyber security.
“The internet network infrastructure in all government premises continues to be strengthened with the installation of broadband lines in line with the expansion of the installation of fibre optic networks throughout the State.
“The government will also accelerate the use of cloud computing solutions in line with the MyDigital Economy Blueprint.

“Sabah Net continues the work of upgrading all 749 State Government offices to a fibre network with a minimum speed of 100Mbps until 2025. All these efforts are to ensure effective and sustainable digital implementation and development,” he said in conjunction with the International Conference on Public Organizations XII (ICONPO 2023) at Pacific Sutera Harbor Resort, here, on Thursday.
His speech was read by the State Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

Hajiji said the State Government prioritised the digitisation of public services towards digital administration to improve the quality of service delivery and improve administrative efficiency based on the real needs of the people.
In the meantime, he said the State Government had established the Sabah Technology and Innovation Development Council (MaPTIS) to support the development of strategies to increase the capacity of Science, Technology, Innovation and Economy (STIE).
“In the last two years, the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the wave of change where businesses, governments and netizens are forced to integrate digital into their daily affairs.
“We realise that many opportunities can be achieved if we master the digital economy to achieve the long-term goals set in the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030 (WKB 2030).
“For that reason also through KSTI, we introduced the Sandbox Concept to facilitate the implementation of digitisation in the State. The services and facilities offered in this Sandbox include investment opportunities for innovators and entrepreneurs, legal advice and training for entrepreneurs,” he said.
He said the Geographical Information System (GIS) would also be developed to collect information on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the State.
“We need to be more creative and proactive by making full use of digital technology such as digital marketing, the use of various applications, and virtual use,” he said while hoping that the conference would be successful including discussing the best way to strengthen digital transformation towards smart governance.
