Earlier this year, Pokémon Unite released its Esports roadmap for this year. With the Pokémon Unite Championship ready to be held later this year, The Pokémon Company has partnered with telecom companies to bring Pokémon Unite tournaments to the APAC region.
The Pokémon Company tied up with Globe Telecom Inc to bring Pokémon Unite Philippines Open 2022. The company is also partnering with Malaysia’s leading telecom brand Yoodo and Thailand’s leading telecom brand AIS Info Service to host the tournaments in their respective countries. The tournaments will be called Pokémon Unite Malaysia Open 2022 and Pokémon Unite Thailand Open 2022.
Pokémon Unite Philippines Open 2022 details

Globe is launching the first official Pokémon Unite tournament in the Philippines with a P-1 million prize pool. Interested players must form a team with at least five players and register in the tournament. The tournament registration started on July 3 and will end on July 25. Qualifiers will start from July 27 to August 3, while the top eight teams will proceed to the playoffs and finals on August 12 and 13.
The champions will receive the lion’s share at P500,000, (~ $8950) with second and third place getting P250,000 (~ $4475) and P100,000 (~$1790), respectively. The team coming in fourth will get P50,000, (~ $900) and fifth to eighth-placed teams will split P25,000 (~$450) among themselves.

Players and Pokémon fans can download and get free access to Pokémon Unite through Globe Prepaid’s Go+99 with GoPLAY. Players can also enjoy 8GB worth of surfing on GoPLAY apps. The promo also includes unlimited all-net texts for seven days, which will be helpful for gamers when discussing game strategy with teammates.

Pokémon UNITE Thailand Open 2022 details

Thailand’s leading mobile network operator Advanced Info Service (AIS), is hosting the Pokémon Unite Thailand Open 2022, which features a prize pool of 600,000 baht (~ $16345). It will be the first official Pokémon Unite tournament in Thailand.
The tournament will be open to players from 15–35 years of age. Players must make a team of at least five participants in the tournament. The registration for the tournament has already started and will end on September 10, 2022. The competition will begin on September 16. Interested players can register on the official website or the official Facebook page of the AIS Esports Tournament.

Pokémon Unite Malaysia Open 2022 deatils
Malaysian telecom brand Yoodo has partnered with The Pokémon Company to introduce Pokémon UNITE Malaysia Open 2022 with a prize pool of $20,000. It will be the first official Pokémon UNITE tournament in Malaysia.

The registration for the tournament will start on July 27 and continue until August 30. Players must form a team with at least five players to participate in this tournament. The Grand Finals of the tournament is scheduled for September 10. In addition to this tournament, Yoodo will also introduce the Pokémon Unite data add-on in August. It will allow players to play the game with a 20GB data boost starting from August.
“Pokémon Unite is more than an individual game, but is a game that allows teams to participate together. We hope that the upcoming tournament will provide a platform for more Malaysian esports players to shine, furthering our dedication to supporting talents from the grassroots,” Yoodo’s head, Chow Tuck Mun, said.
Pokémon Unite is a famous game surpassing 70 million downloads a long ago. The esports scene of Pokémon Unite has been overgrowing. With regional finals being concluded around the world as the qualifications for the World Championship, The Pokémon Company is also focusing on non-world tournaments for different regions.
